Youth Sections (4-24)
Scouts is where young people make new friends, have fun, and gain skills for life; one adventure at a time.
Our sections grow with them:
-
Squirrels (4–6) – Big fun for little ones
-
Beavers (6–8) – Try new things and explore the world
-
Cubs (8–10½) – Jump into adventure and build confidence
-
Scouts (10½–14) – Take the lead and learn by doing
-
Explorers (14–18) – Push boundaries and shape your own journey
-
Young Leaders (14–18) — Lead the way and inspire the next generation
-
Wherever they start, it’s all about fun, friendship, and finding their way.

You can make all the difference!

Volunteering with Scouts is fun, flexible, and full of adventure — whether you want to help run activities, support behind the scenes, or even join us as a trustee.

With Scouts, you’ll enjoy new experiences, learn new skills, and make new friends — all while helping young people do the same.
Boost your wellbeing, build confidence, and gain valuable experience. You might even surprise yourself along the way.

Whether you can give an hour or two each week, volunteer occasionally, or help whenever you can, there’s a role for you. From planning activities to making the tea, every bit of support counts.
Join the Scouts family and make a real difference to local young people.

Find friends, try new things, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
