Within our Scouts Worcester District we have 13 groups and one District Team. Each group and the District has so many flexible volunteer roles that are essential to develop young people, whether directly with the youth members, or behind the scenes. You might be a great people manager, social media wizard, or a master games maker. Whether your skill is in event planning, catering or anything in between, we have a role for you.
Squirrel Team Members

Group Lead Volunteer
Support the group to run a balanced programme that excites the young people and also builds skills for life. Create and deliver a group strategy, support adults to create a positive volunteer experience, ensuring they have the skills to succeed and recruit volunteers to grow the group.

Squirrel
Volunteer
Being a team member in the squirrel section is perfect for you if you enjoy working with young people aged 4-6 years old. It is no surprise that our waiting lists for squirrels is huge. We can't offer more spaces without volunteer team members who want to help. We currently need a team lead and team members We would love to open a Drey in St John, or the wider WR2 area and would need a Team Lead and team members

Section Volunteer
Working with the sections aged 4 - 18 to help run their weekly programme, including helping run activities and games at regular meetings and more! Whether you can give one day a week or one a month, there's plenty of groups to get involed with.

We want to open a scout troop on Wednesday evenings in Wardon. We have young people waiting to join. All we need it the adult volunteers to make this a reality.

Section Team Leaders
The Section Team leaders, plan, deliver, and run quality programmes safely. They make sure all young people can take part in the programme and gain skills for life. They also help young people work towards their Top Awards.
With a brilliant programme, each young person can make a positive impact in society as they step up, speak up, and find their place in the world.

Squirrels Team Leaders WR2
Group Treasurer
The groups can't survive without someone special to help manage the finances. The group treasurer makes sure the monthly subscriptions are paid, bills are processed, and expenses are settled. It only takes a couple of hours a month, but it a vital behind the scenes role. Please get in touch if you can help.

District Vacancies
Programme Support
We need people who support the groups and volunteers to develop new skills, give ideas about activities and are a listening ear. The team also support the creation, organising and running of events, from afternoon events, hikes, water days, and camps.
Young Leader Support Team
Young Leaders are the 14-17 year olds who chose to give up their time to volunteer with a younger section. As a team. we're working to make sure they are support by providing them training, top-award support and monthly drop-ins. If you'd like to join the drop-in team to help give advice or deliver training modules on a variety of skills, then this is the team for you.
Top Awards Support Team
Our 14+ members across the district have a variety of awards they can work towards, including their Duke Of Edinburgh award. This team are working to provide opportunities for completing these to Young People from across the District, including delivering expeditions, supporting them on their ICV challenges and guiding them on their Skill, Physical and Volunteering mission.
